This is a tufted, perennial like monocot reaching up to 2m in height with no trunk, it has long slender leaves up to 1.5m long and are irregularly rounded in cross section, 3mm wide and hairy at the base.
 
The scape lengthis approximately 1.5m long, the spike length 0.11m with white to cream fragrant flowers in Spring to Summer.
 
This WA native naturally grows in lateritic loam, gravel or sand.
Best in full sun in well drained soil and is drought tolerant, it attracts butterflies, bees, birds for both seed and nectar and other insects.
 
Makes a great feature, container specimen and looks great for xeriscaping!
 
Seedlings are rarely seen in the wild as they are grazed by the Western Grey Kangaroo.
