Taxandria parviceps, commonly known as the Fine or Winter White Tea Tree, is a member of the Myrtaceae family in company with the Eucalypts, Callistemons and Leptospermums - Agonis flexuosa, the Willow Myrtle, is the most widely cultivated species.

Taxandria parviceps is a small to medium, many-branched shrub to 2 - 3m high with aromatic foliage and small flower heads.  Each flower head contains a number of small white, tea-tree like flowers and the flowering period extends from late Autumn to Winter.

Winter flowering natives are always welcome to add that touch of colour to an otherwise drab landscape.

Hardy, frost tolerant and free flowering, can take full or part sun in most soils, moist or wet.  It withstands periods of waterlogging or dryness and is also small enough to be accommodated in any garden and may be use to fill gaps when other plants mature.

An excellent cut flower, stems of Taxandria parviceps are used in the floristry trade and often find their way into cut flower arrangements as a filler - their aroma is an additional benefit.  This is one of the species that is now farmed quite extensively in Western Australia.
