Ptilotus macrocephalus - Feather Tails / Green Mulla Mulla - 25 seeds

This Australian Native has pretty creamy green ovoid fluffy flower heads that occur in Spring to Summer, grow up to 12cm long and 7cm wide and are held above the foliage on long stems up to 80cm tall!  The linear to lanceolate leaves are 5 - 10cm long and 3mm wide, have wavy edges and are slightly hairy.  
It can be grown as either an annual or a perennial and has a woody rootstock.
 
Ptilotus macrocephalus is best grown in well drained light soils in full sun, however is adaptable and can grow in a wide range of situations and climates from arid, tropical and even in temperate regions.
It is found naturally growing in grassland, grassy woodland and heathland in VIC, QLD, WA, SA and NT.
