This is a WA native with an erect habit reaching up to 2.5m tall, it has rough bark and dense and very prickly foliage which is narrow to egg shaped with a sharp point.  Rounded pinkish white flowers occur at the ends of branches in Spring.
 
Found naturally growing in clayey or sandy loam on undulating plains and in Winter wet depressions.
Makes a good barrier plant and provides a habitat for small birds.
