Melaleuca diosmatifolia, commonly known as the Rosy Paperbark, is a small open shrub to 2m wide by 2m in height and has narrow, linear bright green leaves 5 to 11mm long, ending in a small point.
The mauve flowers are usually seen in Spring and early Summer and occur in bottlebrush type spikes up to 3 cm long and about 1.5 to 2cm in diameter on short lateral branches that grow through the flower before it opens and the flowers are followed by small, globular fruits.
This is a hardy shrub that will grow in most soils and aspects, but which flowers best in a sunny position, it is frost hardy and is also suitable for tropical climates.
