Leptospermum brachyandrum commonly known as the Weeping Tea Tree, is a delightful weeping shrub to some 5m in height and is much prized for its fine weeping foliage and trunk colour.

Trunks lose their bark in strips to expose a shiny smooth surface, delicately coloured in greys and soft pink shades and the linear-lanceolate leaves are up to 5cm long.

Flowers on this species are white, small to about 7mm and occur in Spring and Summer.

Suitable for poorly drained areas, will take shade, is frost hardy to - 7°C and can be used in tropical areas.

Weeping foliage and its attractive bark or trunk makes a great feature

Weeping Tea Tree is primarily a riverine species found in the wild from northern NSW to north Queensland where it is frequently inundated and can tolerate wet to boggy soils, as well as in conditions of normal rainfall and even tolerates heavy shade.
