Grevillea mimosoides - Tar Grevillea / Caustic Bush - 10 seeds

Grevillea mimosoides, commonly known as Caustic Bush or Tar Grevillea is a tree 2 to 10m in height with a stout corky fissured trunk that occurs throughout the wet tropics from the Kimberleys to Cape York in a wide variety of situations and soils.
 
Leaves are large mid green and sickle shaped with entire margins, 15 to 30cm in length and 1 to 5cm in width with a trunk that has thick, corky brown bark. 
 
In late Winter and Spring it produces conspicuous, sweetly perfumed branched spikes of greenish white to pale yellow flowers in cylindrical racemes emerging well beyond the foliage.  It is quite showy and in cultivation its natural open habit becomes somewhat denser.
 
It is best in tropical locations with Summer rainfall and drier Winters.
