Flindersia australis - Crow's Ash / Australian Teak - 10 seeds

Flindersia australis is an evergreen Australian native tree that grows in dry and subtropical rainforest at low altitudes in northern NSW and QLD and has brown scaly bark that is shed in oval flakes giving the trunk an attractive spotted appearance, the trunk becomes buttressed when large.
 
The foliage is green, glossy and small, and has a nice dense habit.
 
Flowers are creamy white in colour and are quite insignificant appearing in Spring, the fruit that follows is a dry woody capsule 7 - 10cm long, that opens up into a stay shape to release many winged seeds that blow away in the wind.
 
Makes a great shade tree, feature tree and has awesome seed pods for some extra added interest!
