This is an Australian Mallee growing up to 4m tall, less commonly as a tree to 7m tall, forming a lignotuber, endemic to WA occurring on coastal and subcoastal sandplains eastwards from near York and the Stirling Ranges east to Salmon Gums near Israelite Bay.
 
The bark is smooth trhoughout with white to cream over grey brown, shedding in short curly strips or with short basal stocking of rough fibrous grey brown bark which in trees extend for 2 - 3m up the trunk.
 
The juvenile ovate to orbicular, 1.7 - 5.5cm long x 1.7 - 5.5cm wide bluish and often glaucous, the adult foliage is narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate and glossy green,
 
The flower buds occur in clusters of 9 - 13 opening up to reveal creamy white flowers in Summer, Autumn to Spring.
