Eucalyptus propinqua, known as the Grey Gum or Small Fruited Grey Gum is found naturally on the New South Wales and Queensland coastal plain from Newcastle to Maryborough where it prefers light to medium, well-drained soils in an open, sunny position and is drought and frost resistant
It can grow to 50m in height, though is mostly seen between 20 and 30m tall.
 
Leaves are eaten by Koalas and Yellow Bellied Gliders eat the sap of the Grey Gum
