This is a West Australian native Mallee, often as a whipstick growing up to 8m tall, forms a lignotuber and is widespread in the SW or WA on lateritic sand, sandy clay in woodland.
 
The bark is usually smooth throughout, grey over creamy brown to coppery orange, occasionally with a small amount of ribboned rough bark at the base, juvenile foliage is elliptic to ovate, blue green to slightly glaucous 4 -7.5cm long x 1.5 - 2.5cm wide, adult foliage is lanceolate to falcate 6 -12cm long x 0.8 - 2cm wide and are glossy green.  The flower buds are grouped in clusters of 7 - 11, opening up to reveal pale yellow to white flowers manly in late Winter to Spring but flowers throughout the year.
