This is a Mallee species endemic to WA with a widespread occurence in the central and eastern wheatbelt growing on yellow or grey sand often with gravel and on sandplains.
It has rough bark on the basal part of the trunk with persistent thin strips of grey to brown bark, smooth above, grey, coppery to pink, the juvenile leaves are a dull grey to grey green ovate to lanceolate 7 - 10cm long x 1.8 - 2.7 wide, adult leaves are a blue green colour and narrow laceolate, 6 - 11.5cm long x 0.9 - 2.3cm wide.
 
It has 3 flower buds per umbel opening up from late Autumn, Spring and Summer to reveal creamy white flowers.
