Myrtaceae species - No shipment to WA or TASThis is a large Australian native tree growing up to 40m in height but more usually 6 - 25m tall, can be single or multi trunked and has rough, fibrous and stringy bark, becoming strongly ridged and furrowed on old trees shedding to reveal a dark brown furrowed layer below, this bark is persistent except for the smallest branches.The juvenile foliage is elliptic to ovate, often oblique slightly discolorous to concolorous and adult foliage shiny green, broadly lanceolate - this species has the thickest and coarsest leaves of the coastal Stringybarks and 5 - 11 creamy white flowers per umbel occur from Summer to Autumn.Naturally found growing in pure stands on low hills and plains, in open forest and tall open forest from SE SA including Kangaroo Island through southern VIC and into SE NSW.50 premium quality seeds shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
