Growing up to 30m tall as a well formed, forming a lignotuber, with smooth bark throughout sometimes with thin flakes or strips of decorticating bark persisting on the lower trunk, bark is smooth and grey or a reddish grey or brown over white to creamy yellow giving a mottled appearance.  The first branches do not start for more than one half or more of the total height of the tree.
It has glossy green leaves and 7 flower buds per umbel opening to reveal white flowers in Autumn to Winter.
 
This species has a restricted distribution to an area NE of Chinchilla on the Darling Downs in SE QLD from near Jandowae, west to the Barakula State Forest.
