A very attractively formed Rainforest tree that makes quite an impact in home gardens!
 
This is an Australian native evergreen Rainforest tree that is relatively slow growing reaching up to 25m in its native habitat of north eastern NSW and QLD Rainforest areas but usually only grows 5 - 10m in cultivation x 3 - 6m wide, has a columnar to conical habit of a dense crown of deep green glossy leaves and very attractive bronze new growth.
 
Clusters of small, scented, creamy white bell shaped flowers that have finely fringed edges occur in Spring to Summer, these are then followed by an oblong blue drupe in Autumn to Winter.
 
Best grown in full sun to part shade in rich soil that is high in organic matter and is well drained in tropical, subtropical and warm temperate climates. It is frost tender when young and tolerates protected coastal areas.
 
Makes a fantastic feature, screen, street tree, park specimen, windbreak, hedge, informal hedge and attracts birds, bees and other insects and mammals.
