An Aussie native with interesting fruits!

This WA native is found growing in all mainland states with a pyramidal habit as a shrub or small tree, reaching 2 - 10m tall, growing naturally on red sand, loam or gravel on plains, sand dunes and hills.

It has smooth pale grey to pink bark and narrowly lanceolate to elliptic, usually glaucous leaves, 1.5 - 6cm long x 5 - 50mm wide, male and female flowers usually grow on different plants, female flowers occur in axillary racemes or terminal panicles in Autumn and male flowers occur in axillary racemes of up to 15.

The fruiting carpels are 7 - 12mm long, seeds are obovate, finely rugose and 3.5mm long.

This is widespread in arid areas, best in well drained soils in full sun.
Germinates readily after fires so smoke pre-treatments are helpful in hastening germination times.

This listing is for 20 premium quality seeds shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
