This Australian native shrub has a widespread distribution throughout temperate Australia, growing up to 1m tall with bright green foliage that is small and slightly fleshy that has a spicy aroma when bruised and new growth is a light yellow green.

White flowers are borne prolifically in Spring, clustered along arching branches and amongst foliage.  The fringed effect is given by the calyx that tapers to points behind five petalled star shaped flowers, the centre has a cluster of prominent stamens and after flowering these calyces persist for weeks and are shiny, saucer shaped with long curling threads turing golden to purplish.

Attracts bees, birds, insects and is frost tolerant.
Best grown in full sun to part shade in well drained lime free soil, tip prune to encourage a bushy habit after flowering.

Grow as a feature, short screen, in raised beds and makes great cut flowers.

Propagation can be difficult by seed but no impossible!  A smoke pre-treatment is required to be done to aid germination.

50 premium quality seeds shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
