This evergreen shrub is a native to SW WA, growing to a height of 30 - 80cm tall with an open but dense habit and has bright yellow star shaped fragrant flowers in Summer.
 
Growing naturally on white, grey or yellow sand, often near laterite, granite over sandstone on undulating sand plains, gentle slopes, sometimes in swampy areas.
 
Makes a fantastic feature plant with masses of flowers in the Summer.
It attracts bees, birds, insects and is drought and frost tolerant once established.
 
Propagation by seed can be difficult but not impossible!  A smoke pre-treatment is usually done to aid germination.
