The Netbush or One Sided bottlebrush, Calothamnus quadrifidus, is an erect or slightly spreading shrub to about 2.5m in height and width.  It has attractive pine-like leaves to 3cm and produces long-lasting deep red, occasionally creamy yellow, flower spikes to about 10 cm.  Flowers occur in Spring, Summer and Autumn.

This is a Western Australian species and this one is little different as it is often best in warmer, particularly in subtropical climates, although it does grow quite happily to midway between Sydney and the Victorian border in warmer areas.

It is very useful as a different groundcover, is frost hardy, bird attracting and provides a protective bird habitat and is suitable as a hedging subject, screen or as a feature.

With its neat form, easy propagation and management and showy long flowering period this is a shrub well worth consideration

150 premium quality seeds shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
