Callistemon pallidus, commonly known as the Lemon Bottlebrush, comes from the east coast ranging naturally from southern Queensland to east Gippsland.It is a dense, bushy shrub normally to about 4m by 2m in width with a generally erect habit, the foliage is narrow-elliptical , 7cm long and 9 to 15mm wide with the new growth soft and silvery. The cream to yellow bottlebrush blooms are borne in the late Spring and Summer and are some 7cm long and 4cm wide.It is a frost hardy species (it has succeeded outdoors in southern England) that can accept either wet or dry conditions, flowering best in full sun. It is particularly useful as a screen plant.
