This West Australian native is a lignotuberous shrub growing between 1 to 3m tall with long and narrow glaucous blue grey leaves with a pointed tip that are 10cm long x 1.5mm wide and the new growth is bright green. From Autumn to Winter, golden rounded ball shaped clusters appear and are followed by the fruit that is a globular, woody cone with up to 60 follicles.
Found naturally growing in heathland and shrubland on sandy loam or gravel soil.
This is a great garden feature with the rounded golden flowers and seedcones that follow and the flowers attract birds and other insects.
