Acacia terminalis, commonly known as the Sunshine Wattle, is a fast growing, dense shrub growing to 3m in height with a spread of 2m, occurring naturally in dry open forest and scrubland in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
Bark is a smooth or finely fissured grey/brown, it has dark green, bipinnate leaves and bears off white to cream to deep yellow ball-flowers in the off-season from Autumn to Winter. It is a long-flowering species and is bird attracting and smog tolerant.
Sunshine Wattle is generally adaptable in cultivation and responds to sunny, reasonably well-drained positions in most soils including poor degraded soils. It can be grown as a screen or windbreak and makes an attractive container plant or ornamental specimen and it is normally a frost hardy species.
