An Australian native shrub that has a scattered natural distribution on the Kimberley region, WA on sandstone and also is scattered across the Top End of NT and extends east into NW parts of QLD where it is situated on stony hillsides and near creeks growing in gravelly soils part of Eucalyptus woodland communities where it is usually associated with species of Melaleuca.

 

It has grey to grey brown coloured fissured bark, staright to slightly sickly shaped phyllodes with prominent pale margins and the cylindrical yellow flower spikes to 2.5cm long from Winter to Spring.

 

It is an attractive Acacia that makes a lovely garden specimen.
