Acacia gonoclada - Ganambureng - 30 seeds

This is an often spindly shrub or small tree growing up to 4m tall with smooth, red brown or grey bark and narrowly elliptic to orblanceolate, flat, 5 - 13.5cm long x 8 - 33mm wide and are narrowed and curved upwards near the base.
 
In Autumn to Spring, spikes of bright yellow flowers occur singly or in pairs, 1 - 5cm long and seed pods follow, clustered in the upper axils, these are linear and flat and slightly constricted between the seeds and are 2 - 6cm long.
 
This is a widespread species in tropical Australia occurring in WA, NT and N QLD, usually found growing in shallow, sandy or stony soils in NT and QLD but also on more loamy soils in QLD on low rocky ridges, undulating plains and gullies.
 
Best in full sun in well drained soils.
