Acacia boormanii - Snowy River Wattle - 30 seeds

Acacia boormanii is a delightful colder climate Acacia originating from the higher country around southern New South Wales in the Great Dividing Ranges.  It grows as a rounded shrub reaching 4.5m in height and 1.8 - 2.5m in diameter, it has  attractive narrow phyllode type foliage and bears a mass of bright gold ball shaped flowers in the Winter through to the Spring.

As with most Acacia it is fast growing, and this one, hailing from the cooler climate of southern New South Wales can withstand frost and colder weather - down to about -7°C and it can also withstand slight coastal exposure and extended periods of dryness.

It can be pruned and shaped, this may be necessary to maintain a truly desirable size and form although it is generally a well behaved species.

It is a widely cultivated species adaptable to a range of climates and soils that will grow in dappled light or full sun.
