Acacia alata v alata - Winged Wattle - 30 seeds

This is a SW West Australian native small many branching shrub growing 30cm to 2m tall x 1m wide, interestingly the branchlets are flat and look to lack phyllodes but they are actually flattened and continuous giving the stem a winged appearance, the lovely pale yellow flowers are globular in shape that grow on stalks from the phyllode axil.

Grows well in a range of soils and found naturally growing along creeks with laterite or loam in forest and woodland, in sand over granite in coastal heath and low woodland.

Best in full sun to part shade in Mediterranean climates with lower humidity.
