Acacia acinacea, commonly known as the Gold Dust Wattle is a hardy small to medium shrub reaching up to 2m in both height and spread. It flowers profusely with masses golden balls on long slender stems in the Spring and Summer.
It prefers light well drained gravel or sandy soils in an open, sunny position and adapts well to clay, is drought resistant and moderately frost tolerant. This species is a good pioneering plant that fixes nitrogen from the air, also attracts bees, insects and seed seeking birds.
