Eucalyptus stellulata, commonly known as Black Sally, is a small tree or Mallee scattered in eastern Victoria, commonly in poorly drained sites of subalpine woodlands, although occasionally on drier sites such as Brumby Point, and at lower altitudes in cold valleys, e.g. Rose and Buckland River valleys; also throughout similar subalpine and high country in New South Wales to north-east of Tenterfield, especially on basaltic soils, e.g. the Guyra-Ben Lomond plateau and near Ebor. Bark is rough on lower trunks but smooth and greenish above, adult leaves are green, glossy and with 3 parallel veins.Tree or Mallee to 15m tall and forming a lignotuber.Bark rough on lower trunk, compact and dark grey to black; smooth bark greenish, at times with ribbons of decorticated bark in the upper branches. This species is often overlooked amongst the cold tolerant Eucalyptus and the bark can make an excellent showing of colours just depending on the time of the year and climatic conditions.Flowers are white and occur in Summer to Winter.60 premium quality seeds shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
