Eucalyptus campaspe, known as the Silver Topped Gimlet, is a lovely small tree that is native to Western Australia. 
 Small tree or Mallee up to 10m high with smooth, copper-brown to dark red-brown bark that as lovely grey-silver foliage with a slightly weeping habit, especially when young. 
 Creamy white to yellow flowers appear in Spring to Summer. 
Tolerant to drought and moderate frost, is hardy to - 4°C.  It will grow on a range of soils including alkaline soils from sands to heavy clays but is sensitive to waterlogging and is moderately to highly salt tolerant.  
Used for firewood, ornament (attractive canopy), windbreaks, shade and cut foliage, bark rich in tannin.
